| Description | There are those drawn to stretch themselves in finding language and structure to share what they remember, witness, wonder, or imagine with others. Creative writing is an analytical and experiential course designed to help those with the gift and/or urge to write, to find, express, and honour their own unique, creative voice and style. Students will gain a greater awareness of self and others by identifying the role of creative writing and its implications in their lives and the lives of others. Students will explore strategies for making creative writing an active and meaningful part of their lives and get past the challenges of their own fear and/or ambition. Students will have an opportunity to think critically and constructively about their own work as well as that of published authors and classmates and build up a body of creative work. |
