| Description | Critical to the development and implementation of cultural tourism policies and practices are topics such as urban regeneration and development, protection of heritage areas, site integrity and resource interpretation, identifying and planning for indigenous/ aboriginal tourism and preserving and promoting multicultural diversity. The foregoing in context of market-ready cultural and heritage tourism product development and packaging will be examined within the context. Learners will be encouraged to engage in independent research and cooperative problem solving with a view to understanding the mechanisms linking principles with practices. An integral component of this course will be case study analyses and the opportunity to work closely with local communities and conduct on-site research.
