| Description | In this course, students are introduced to computer interfacing technology using LabVIEW and Microsoft Visual C++ software. Students will be able to design, interface, configure and troubleshoot data acquisition systems. This includes hardware software configuration, digital/analog signals, and signal conditioning. Interfacing with PC using LabVIEW will be offered through different ways such as Serial and Educational Laboratory Virtual Instrumentation Suite (ELVIS) unit. This course is a combination of theory and lab experience. Lab experiments are performed using LabVIEW and high level C language. Students will also examine how external hardware can be interfaced with internal system bus through device driver software. |
