Developing a Critical Voice

Course CodeAENJ-704
Lecture hours per week
Lab hours per week
Course AvailabilityOpen
Description

The paradox of how to develop a critical voice without writing about oneself will be explored in this course. To be critical is not synonymous with being "negative" or even to "disagree." Rather, critical thinking refers to a process of reflecting deeply and giving considerable thought to what you're reviewing. This will manifest in your writing. Engaging in critical writing - arts criticism - helps you develop your 'voice.'
