| Description | The current advances in biological data integration and systems biology have increased the need for bioinformatics tool development. In this cutting-edge course, students will develop the skills to deal with the increasing computational demands in the rapidly growing field of bioinformatics. Students will modify and extend existing bioinformatics software tools to address specific biological problems. They will also manage bioinformatics projects through the full life cycle of a new program going from the needs specification, to code design, documentation and on-going maintenance of the code. |
