Developing a Business Plan

This sixth semester Capstone course integrates the subject areas from previous semesters of marketing, finance, operations, accounting, human resources and strategic management. The central focus of the course is the development of a detailed business plan from the testing of an idea, to mapping trends and opportunities through to finding target customers and establishing financing.

Students will experience and consolidate the competencies, attitudes, and resources required for the pursuit of different entrepreneurial start-up small business ventures. Strong emphasis is placed on marketing research, sales forecasting and preparation of pro forma financial statements.
