Description

This course presents concepts of business and economics as applied to real estate and development. Learners will conduct feasibility studies and pro-forma reports based on market data, drawings, outline specifications and preliminary scheduling and estimating.

  • Elements of real estate acquisition, financing and leasing
  • Financing – mortgages, interim financing and equity capital
  • Life cycle costing
  • Time and money, yield analysis
  • Factors that affect design and costs of building projects
  • Real estate and building development risk
  • Economic impact of real estate and building investment taxation
