Description

This course is designed to give students an understanding of how the power from the engine reaches the vehicles drive wheel. Students will be able to explain the purpose and function of the clutch assembly. Students will perform inspection and adjustment of the Drive Train System components and identify the different parts of the clutch as well. Students will be able to identify the different type of gears, explain their characteristics, advantages and disadvantages. Students will also gain important knowledge on the operation of the transmission and drive axle assembly, they will be able to identify their components and explain the functions and operations of each component. Students will also be able to inspect, diagnose and recommend repair procedures on the clutch, transmission and drive axle assembly.
