Description | This course is designed to allow students to enhance their learnt knowledge from level one Engine. Students will gain a firm understanding on the principle and operation of the cylinder head, valve train systems and the diesel engine cylinder block assembly. Students will gain extensive knowledge on how to perform inspection, testing and follow diagnostic procedures on diesel engine cylinder heads and valve trains and the engine cylinder block assembly. Although Diesel fuel is most prevalent in this field, gasoline and alternate fueled engine is still found in the industry. For this reason students will study the purpose and fundamentals of gasoline and alternate fuel engines and compare the result with diesel engines. Students will study the operating principles of these engines. Students will also learn how to identify the different types of engines and how to inspect, test and diagnose or recommend diagnostic procedures on gasoline and alternate fuel engines. |
