| Description | This course is designed to provide students with an introduction to automotive manual transmissions and transaxles. Both theoretical and practical instruction techniques are utilized to discuss the following requirements: to move the vehicle in a forward and rearward direction, allow a smooth power flow, and provide a neutral range. Identification, purpose, location, and operation of the various components will be covered during this semester. The students are also made aware of specialized tools and equipment required for testing, servicing, and adjustment of various units. |
