Description
This course is an introduction to ecological theory and experimentation for students in the Environmental Protection technician/Technologist programs. The focus of the lectures will be on the interrelationships of living things with their environment and each other. Field and laboratory work allow the student to study stream, forest, meadow and soil ecology as well as aspects of population growth and competition. This course provides the scientific framework for the other Environmental Science course in the program and for developing strategies for conservation of nature.
