Description

This theory and practical course introduces the students to the fundamental concepts and applications of electricity. Topics will include the study of resistors and capacitors in DC and AC circuits including the use of circuit simulation software. Components will be analyzed in series and parallel combinations by applying the fundamental laws and theorems of electricity. The fundamental concepts and applications of electromagnetism will also be presented to the students. The description of the Electrical Smart Grid and the use of clean sources of electrical energy will also be discussed in this course.
