| Description | This course will allow students to gain extensive knowledge in the operation of the computer system found on heavy duty trucks. Students will learn about the various types of programming found on trucks and how to manipulate these programming using the EST to tailor a truck for a specific purpose. Students will study what is multiplexing, how it works and how to diagnose and make repair on fully computer controlled vehicle. Students will also learn about the emissions related components found on heavy duty trucks, why these parts are needed, how they work and the effects on the vehicle if they fail. Students will also learn how to maintain, diagnose and repair these exhaust after treatment system. |
