Description

This theory and practical course introduces the student to Power Electronics circuits used in industrial applications for the control of DC and AC motors as well as three phase rectification. Students will learn about 3-phase rectifiers and inverters used in various drives. The course will describe theory of operation, terminology, component selection, troubleshooting and applications of DC chopper, static devices, AC and DC drives, SCR speed control for DC motors.
