Electronics Lab Instrumentation & Techniques

Description

This course is offered in the first term of the electronics and biomedical engineering technology programs with the goal of students developing hands-on skills that are essential for the education in College as well as for co-op and graduate employment. Safety issues around testing 120V electronic equipment and operating mechanical tools will be emphasized through learning and applying safety procedures. Skills in soldering electronic components to wires and to printed circuit boards (PCBs) will be developed. Building, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic circuits on breadboards will be practiced. A complete DC power supply will be built in steps throughout the course where each student can individually apply their knowledge and skills.
