| Description | The TFE-002 Engineering Principles and Technical Applications course is offered for students who want to enroll in Centennial College ICET, ABES and AMAT programs. This course provides the basic fundamentals of engineering principles and technical applications, which will enable the student to gain a smooth entry into the programs mentioned above. The students will also acquire hands-on skills needed for their education at the college as well as in their future employment. The course is an introduction to engineering concepts, MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint in reporting, computer hardware, computer operating system and networking, electronic circuits, measurements in virtual environment, logic gates and programming. The students will develop various computer, internet and research skills. The course has a theory component and a computer lab component. The theory will be delivered in a 2 hour weekly lecture and the practice will be delivered in a 4 hour weekly computer lab. |
