| Description | The purpose of this course is to review the communication problems associated with neurological and sensory impairments which inhibit a person’s ability to effectively communicate with others. The focus of the course is to teach the students practical skills which will enhance their communication skills with people who have speech and language problems. As well, the students will learn strategies which they can use in assisting disabled persons to communicate despite their impairments. Some time will be spent on learning the skills to help people with communication disorders.
