Description | In this course, different attackers’ tactics, strategies, and approaches will be discussed. The Ethical Hacking and Defense course presents a variety of approaches such as footprinting, scanning, enumeration, system hacking, penetration testing, malware detection, sniffing, and social engineering for finding existing vulnerabilities and discovering intrusions in the network. It also discusses the latest known attack vectors. This course also provides information on the tools which are required to defend against attackers. This course examines and reviews various types of hacking tools and ways to harden the system or application against the attacks. This course will give students an in-depth knowledge of ethical hacking and penetration testing. It focuses on vulnerability assessment of systems and network devices, exploitation of these vulnerabilities, penetration and ethical hacking. Students will also become well versed in TCP/IP protocols, web servers and applications and wireless networks. Students will learn techniques to scan and exploit vulnerabilities. The course will enable students to apply the knowledge and skills obtained to study further concepts in Information Security. |
