| Description | All fashion products emerge from a combination of design and development practices. In this course, students will learn about textile science, fabric analysis, pattern drafting, pattern grading, technical specifications, seam and stitch types, as well as the basics of sewing and fashion illustration. An emphasis on new technological, global artisanal outreach and sustainability applications will be explored. From these foundational concepts, students will be able to plan the creation of a product from its initial design until it is ready to enter the manufacturing stage. |
