| Description | This course is a sixth semester course in the Electronics Engineering Technology program. Individual components of optical fiber systems are discussed with emphasis on the physical principles of their operation. Advantages and disadvantages of various fiber optics configurations are discussed for typical communication applications. Integral and differential calculus are used extensively. Laboratory session allow the student to learn optical measuring techniques and their interpretations. |
