Description | Industry Field Placement is a required course for Arts Management students predicated on the premise that monitored work/study within a preapproved setting within the arts and culture field provides an invaluable dimension to the student’s career preparation. This method of applied learning enables the student to relate classroom theory to actual workplace circumstances. The placement enhances the student’s knowledge of current industry practices and provides a competitive advantage toward attaining entry-level job experience. In addition, the mentorship experience with the placement supervisor affords the learner the benefit of coaching and training with an appropriate sector practitioner throughout the placement. Students will have the chance to research and seek placement opportunities anywhere in Canada or overseas. Evaluations by supervisors will provide ongoing support while encouraging high performance standards. |
