Description | Field Seminar 2 is a capstone course that integrates theory and practice by connecting students' field placement experience with theoretical and experiential learning, and by exposing students to relevant social and practice issues. Students reflect and analyze their own field placement experiences, and reflect on how they can use relevant theory to impact the lives of the individual’s they support, specifically by creating valued social roles for those who are devalued. Students are given an opportunity to demonstrate this by a comprehensive presentation related to their own Field Placement. The richness of the context and work completed in seminars very much depends on what each student brings to it. Confidentiality is an expectation of all students in the course.
