| Description | This course equips students with essential skills in personal finance management and basic bookkeeping, helping learners make informed monetary decisions about the accounting cycle relevant to business operations. Through lectures, practical exercises, and case studies, students will learn to maintain accurate financial records using paper ledgers and workbooks to develop sound financial plans. Students will learn about budgeting, saving, credit and debt management, basic investment principles, preparing a business plan and bookkeeping practices such as the accounting cycle, transaction recording, ledger management, and financial statement preparation. By the end of the course, students will be able to make informed financial decisions, manage personal finances, and confidently perform basic bookkeeping tasks, including the preparation of financial statements for managing or working within a small to medium enterprise. |
