Note: Formerly known as GNED-252

This course focuses on policy issues, Self-governance and sovereignty, building on previous First Peoples studies courses on current issues (GNED410) and community (GNED411). Through stories of reclamation, advocacy, and agency, students will examine the evolving perspectives on Indigenous Self-governance and Self-determination. Students will also learn about Inuit and Metis experiences in Canada and their paths to Self-governance and Self-determination
