Description | This introductory course introduces the student to the concepts and application of physical fitness, providing the necessary information to gain good health and fitness for life. The student will gain tools and strategies to be able to create, follow and progress their own individual fitness program. Personal fitness and wellness is critical for a higher quality of life in today’s world on an individual level as well as for survival and wellness in the law enforcement field. This course concentrates on the concept of personal and occupational wellness providing skills, strategies and a practical component for the student to be able to comprise a fitness regime for their own personal goals. This course includes a large practical component geared towards strength, cardio, speed, endurance and agility training. The training incorporated in this course simulates the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the Ontario Provincial Police services fitness standards. Special Requirements: |
