Description | Fitness 2 will utilize the knowledge and skills learned in Fitness 1 to progress the individuals fitness outcomes and training to a more advanced level. Personal fitness and wellness is critical for a higher quality of life in today's world as well as for health and survival in the law enforcement field. The course concentrates on personal and occupational wellness providing skills, strategies, and practical application for the student to continue advancing their own personal fitness program and regimen to address their own personal goals for optimum health. The course gives the student the availability, guidance, and strategies to aid in the student's successful completion of the physical components for the Ontario Police, Corrections and Royal Canadian National Police standards. This course is practical in nature and therefore participation is mandatory. The practical components include cardio-pulmonary, strength, and endurance training geared towards progressing to the final stages of successful completion of the law enforcement standards. |
