Description: This course will build on the first fitness course emphasizing practical strategies for maintaining and improving physical fitness and overall health. The physical component of this course will incorporate methods and testing used by police services in annual fitness evaluation (PIN test), preparing students to maintain their physical fitness throughout their careers. The academic portion of this course will focus on basic nutrition and exercise physiology with the aim of developing training programs and meal plans specifically geared at maintaining and improving physical fitness while working challenging shift schedules.
