Description | This course will build upon the knowledge, skills and training methods learned in Fitness 2. Personal fitness and wellness are critical for success in the law enforcement profession. This course concentrates on the concept of personal and occupational wellness providing skills, strategies and a practical component for the student to be able to comprise a fitness regime for their own personal goals. This course gives the student the ability to practically apply knowledge and strategies that will aid in their successful completion of the physical components for the Ontario Police Standards and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Standards. This course provides students an opportunity to apply knowledge through a practical component involving cardiovascular and resistance training. The knowledge and practical experience gained in this course will prepare the student for the physical demands of standardized testing, the workforce, and life-long healthy living. |
