This course gives students a basic understanding of Canadian food laws and their application to the food industry. Topics include relevant municipal, provincial and federal legislation, regulations, guidelines and policies pertaining to food safety, quality and labeling, Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Importing Practices. Students will also be exposed to food laws of key Canadian trading partners.
