Description

In this course, students will experience how principles and concepts in food processing techniques, quality assurance and quality control, and food safety management systems are applied in food processing. This course prepares students for careers in food processing through experiential learning, including guest lectures from industry professionals, and field trips and tours through food industry sites. Students also obtain lessons on professional skills including root cause analysis, professional communication, resume writing, and 'soft skills' that will increase the likelihood of employment.
