With the stringent emission regulations that diesel engine conform to the mechanical fueled engine has become obsolete. This course will give student a firm understanding of a full authority electronic controlled fuel system. Students will learn about Diesel Fuel Injection Partial-Authority Engine Management systems. Students will cover in detail the various parts of Diesel Fuel Injection Full-Authority Engine systems. Students will also learn about the purpose and fundamentals of diesel engine emission systems. Students will also learn about the emissions related components found on heavy duty trucks, why these parts are needed, how they work and the effects on the vehicle if they fail. Students will gain understanding on how the system operates and how to inspect, test and repair fault that incur in Fuel/Emissions system.
