This course is designed to provide students with an introduction to automotive computerized ignition, diesel/electronic diesel fuel systems, superchargers, turbochargers and emission control devices. Both theoretical and practical instruction techniques will be emphasized using various components and systems. The course is also intended to familiarize students with specialized tools and equipment required for testing and diagnosing drivability complaints. Methods of instruction include classroom lectures, lab discussion, and practical work assignments in the lab.
