Description | The Fundamentals of Cooling Cycles will provide the student with both theory and practical training. Course provides the student with the ability to describe the structure of matter, molecular motion, work and energy, thermal energy and the change of state, laws of physics that relate to vapours and gases. In addition, the curriculum ensures that the student is able to describe operating principles and function, temperatures and pressures of the mechanical cooling cycle and the procedures for plotting a mechanical cooling cycle in a mollier diagram. Furthermore, the curriculum highlights application of various refrigerants, the utilization of cylinders or containers to transport or store refrigerants and the application of various refrigeration lubricants. |
