Description

This course examines the role of food and drink and the food habits and preferences that influence customer choice. Emphasis will be placed on the importance of the entire customer environment, including the sensory influences people use when deciding what to eat or drink. Students will discover how to connect tourism consumers with destinations’ local eating and drinking behaviours.  Local tastes will be identified as marketing opportunities and will contribute to the overall food tourism business concepts.
