Description | This course introduces the student to the subject of Tool Design. The fundamental concepts of design will be taught with respect to Milling Fixtures, Holding Fixtures, and Assembly Fixtures. Using a CAD environment, the student will develop a working design for the assigned parts and produce fully annotated and dimensioned General Assembly and Detailed Drawings including GD&T. This will include all the necessary calculations and research for each design. The student will produce designs for Milling, Holding/Assembly Fixtures. |
