Description

This course introduces the student to the subject of Tool Design. The fundamental concepts of design will be taught with respect to Milling Fixtures, Holding Fixtures, and Assembly Fixtures. Using a CAD environment, the student will develop a working design for the assigned parts and produce fully annotated and dimensioned General Assembly and Detailed Drawings including GD&T. This will include all the necessary calculations and research for each design. The student will produce designs for Milling, Holding/Assembly Fixtures.
