This course provides a critical overview of previous academic and practical approaches on the role of women in development, including Women in Development, Women and Development, and the current Gender and Development as well as other emerging paradigms such as Women, Development and Culture. Students are engaged in discussions on women’s rights as human rights, and the importance of gender equity in achieving sustainable development and improving human well-being for all.
