Description

This course surveys arrange of issues facing women in developing countries as well as theories, tools and programs of gender equality. It provides a critical overview of previous and current approaches to development interventions including Gender Mainstreaming. Students will practice "gender analysis," and learn how to incorporate a gender perspective in public policy, institutions, and project design, monitoring and evaluation. Particular focus will be given to Gender Equality in the 2030 Agenda and Canada’s Feminist International Assistance Policy (FIAP).
