Description
This course provides students with an understanding of the world’s landscapes and how the landscapes of the western hemisphere relate to tourism and diversity in culture. Students will be introduced to the impact of tourism on the environment and the importance of eco-tourism. The course examines earth sciences such as land formations, time zones and climate. There will include a basic introduction to plate tectonics. Students will be given an opportunity to build confidence with and enhance their ability to use a variety of resources available in an atlas and on the internet.
