| Description | This course examines how global firms formulate winning strategies in order to compete effectively in the global environment. It looks at the impact of globalization on the political, legal, financial, cultural, governance, and macroeconomic environments in which these firms operate, and examines the need for firms to develop strategic foresight to anticipate future needs and leverage resources and capabilities for future competition. Business- and corporate-level strategies are discussed; this includes creating global advantage, building effective strategic alliances, selecting optimal market entry options, effectively competing in emerging markets, and formulating strategies for global knowledge management, corporate governance, and social responsibility. |
