| Description | Students will learn that global supply chains have become fundamental components of countries’ competitiveness and prosperity. Since supply chains are intricately connected to all dimensions of business and society, students will learn about the practical and tactical issues involved in entering and maintaining market presence globally. Students in this course will focus on the interrelationship between global supply chains, logistics, sourcing and manufacturing operations within the broader context of evolving cultures, regulations and accompanying economic policies that can potentially cause disruptions to the supply chain and impact the overall cost of doing business. Using current case examples and lectures, students will explore contemporary and emerging issues that require supply chain managers to develop strategic and creative responses to remain competitive. |
