| Description | (In cooperation with Toronto Metropolitan University) Nursing management is affected by many policies that are not found in a standard procedures manual. Corporate, labour, professional, health and social policies all have a significant impact on the manager’s daily activities. But what is policy? How is it developed? What is its effect? This course introduces policy content, process, analysis and the nurse manager’s role in its development. Explore the relationship of policy to problem-solving. Explore health law and nursing trends through discussion of nurse manager experiences, health and social policy, studies and current health issues.
