| Description | Hospitality Revenue and Distribution Management will provide the student with an in-depth knowledge of optimizing hotel revenues by using forecast information in capacity management, discount allocation, duration control and other yield management tools. The course will examine the importance of managing reservations and rate allocation to global distribution systems (GDS), third party Internet reservation systems, direct-consumer online distribution, rate integrity and internet rate strategies through a website optimization strategy. This course uses a computer based simulation for students to apply and practice the concepts and theories of Revenue and Distribution Management. |
