Industry Experiential Practicum

In this course, students spend one day a week working with a real-world partner in the lifestyle industry sector. In a trinity between a supervising professor, onsite industry supervisor and the student, the opportunity to observe, attempt and adopt the routines of a particular work environment enables the student to build their understanding of how lifestyle media cycles and products come together to create a media culture around a specific niche or industry. Students begin to engage in active support within the site, moving into a full-time engagement for their placement.
