| Description | This course is a comprehensive introduction to the principles and practices of infection prevention and control in the healthcare setting. Students will be introduced to the role of Environmental Services and other interprofessional departments in infection control. Students will identify relevant industry and governmental regulations, standards and best practices with regards to infection control in healthcare. Students will identify and define quality assurance methodology. |
