| Description | This course will create an awareness of the sources of contamination. The students will learn the basics and acquire understanding of the types of contamination that may be present in a spa as well as the difference between cleaning and killing microbes. The focus is on the current methods of decontamination for equipment, tools, and hard surfaces in a spa. The students will also learn basic microbiology and modes of transmission. Safety, hygiene, and self-protection are important components of this course. |
