Description | This course will provide learners with skills and techniques to construct meaning from basic texts on familiar topics and produce simple sentences to describe familiar topics with level-appropriate structure and vocabulary. This integrated skills course consists of a series of five modules designed for elementary English language learners. This course is designed to help students develop writing skills at the sentence level by applying fundamental principles of grammar, prewriting, and revising. Through a combination of independent study and communicative classroom activities, students will be introduced to and develop reading comprehension and writing strategies, with a focus on building vocabulary. An outcomes-based education approach will be taken giving learning practice with vocabulary and grammar appropriate to the unit of study. |
