| Description | Integrated Core Skills is a full-semester course designed for intermediate English language learners. Divided into two parts (Part A: Weeks 1–7 and Part B: Weeks 8–14), this course uses a project-based approach to enhance students' reading, writing and critical thinking skills. In Part A (Animals; Customs and Traditions), learners will practice narrative and opinion writing through a portfolio of organized paragraphs on topics such as cultural customs. In Part B (Discovery and Invention; Health and Fitness), students will develop their expository and argumentative skills by writing about scientific topics and health-related issues. Throughout the course, students will apply reading strategies to analyze texts, use a variety of grammatical structures and build theme-related vocabulary. |
