| Description | In this course, students will apply theories learned in the classroom while on the job at various community and justice facilities. Community settings include federal half-way houses, bail programs in courthouses, behavioural classsrooms in elementary or high schools, and before and after school and drop in programs in community centers, among others. Justice settings include open and secure custody and detention facilities for young persons, adult jails, detention or correctional settings. Students will be trained on the job by professionals currently employed in the field. |
