| Description | In this course, students will gain the knowledge, skills and perspectives required to successfully design and manage projects in an international environment. Students will learn the key terminology, methodology, processes and practices in professional project management utilizing the Projects Management Institutes (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) framework. They will also examine competing project management frameworks. Building on a solid understanding of the fundamentals of project management, students will analyze the key factors that differentiate international and domestic projects, including differences in political, cultural, social, ethical, technological, regulatory and legal practices and customs. Through a comparative analysis of various domestic and international project management case studies, students learn how the different factors and practices affect project and team management in various national and international contexts. |
