| Description | COMP 101 is an introductory computer course intended for first-semester business students enrolled in accounting, computer, marketing, management studies, office information administration, and production programs in the School of Business at Centennial College. The course emphasizes computer concepts and microcomputer software packages that enhance effective business communications space, i.e. the use of e-mail and the Internet, and the production of professional quality text documents and presentation graphics. Course delivery has two important aspects: lectures, which promote problem solving and the understanding of computer concepts; and weekly, hands-on computer lab sessions with relevant applications, which reinforce the theory, learned. COMP101 is a prerequisite for COMP121. |
